The Emergence of Springfield Hiphop Scene

SPR:  Springfield, Illinois, just 3 hours South of Chicago, the capitol of our state & the birthplace of Torch Tuesdays. Earlier this year it was my pleasure to be invited to glace the stage at 1 of the Midwest's best weekly hiphop showcases hosted by mc, Aaron "Uncanny" Phillips & presented by community organizer, Torch.   


For the 2nd year in a row the event has raised enough money to have a drive for a local elementary school giving away hats, gloves, & scarves. Check the news coverage as provided by WICS News Channel 10 here. Next up is the 1st annual "Torch Tuesdays" Central IL Hiphop Awards on Jan. 22nd!!!

Torch Tuesday will hold the Torch Tuesday Awards 2012 a night of celebrating a year of excellence in central IL Hip Hop. Catering will be handled by Crunch Time Manufacturing featuring an Italian feast. Come out be part of history in the making!!! Artists being nominated include Pytch Wyte, Les Luger, Contact, Cykil, Ghost, Junior, Corn tha Coon, Scoobie Da Lyricist, Prez Dent, P-Jilla, Grill Billyenz, I2k, Canon, Young Twizz, Habilis Riccardo and many, many more.  -babyfacemonster
