Huge Opportunities hit the 217!

217 hip hop is on the rise. With so many artists traveling, branding themselves and representing so well in other parts of the country people are starting to take notice. The high output of quality media being produced by the local scene has garnered the attention of A&Rs, talent scouts, label execs, promoters and even other recording artists to search for the next big thing in hip hop here in the 217 area code.

With the summer almost in full swing three contests are already in place with there being rumors of more to come in the next few months. We have provided links and details to three contests already planned to take place in Springfield and provide different opportunities to gain exposure, performance opportunities in other cities and even a record deal! The Midwest Blog Tour takes place Thursday, May 29th at Bar None and will feature an artist showcase/competition with the winner being placed on over 20 different hip hop websites/blogs and a mixtape hosting package from Chicago's DJ Trent Gates. Click Here for more info. 

The Who's Got Next? showcase will feature ten of the hottest acts from the area competing for a chance to perform in St. Louis. Be in the building June 6th as A.M.N., Scoobie Da Lyricist, Flatline, L Peezy, Lo-Fi Monsta Martian, HISO Music, Trizzle, Trezo and Xtortion go at in on the Four Seasons stage. 

Rich Taste Entertainment has teamed up with Ozland Films for The Big Push Contest. June 28th, 25 contestants from all genres of music will compete for a digital distribution deal through Rich Taste Entertainment and a music video from Ozland Films.
